1. “Why does my remote only work when I’m right next to the door?”
The most symptom. Usually a dying battery or a damaged/coiled antenna on the opener — but can also be LED bulb interference, which surprises most homeowners.
2. “Why did my remote suddenly stop working after a power outage?”
Power interruptions wipe the pairing between the remote and opener. Homeowners don’t realize they need to re-sync them and assume the remote or opener is broken.
3. “Can I program a new remote myself or do I need a technician?”
People want to know if it’s a DIY fix before calling. Most modern openers are self-programmable via the Learn button, but older or commercial-grade units often need a tech.
